The MSc Facility Management has been developed to provide an integrated, coherent and challenging program for graduated students in the field of Facility Management. The theories, concepts, research methods and techniques that are used are aimed at acquiring multidisciplinary skills and knowledge, so that the implementation of it leads to the further development / professionalization of Facility Management.
The purpose of this study is to understand knowledge, expertise and relevant trends and developments in the field Facility Management on a systematic and research-based way. It offers the participants the opportunity to contribute in the contemporary relevant and meaningful approach of Facility Management in complex and dynamic organizations. The study provides a framework in which Facility Management can provide products and services that are strategically anchored and integrated into the complete organization. The study focuses on the motives on macro and micro level, at a facilitating organization. This will be clarified by examining examples, issues and challenges of a current facility manager in relation to the development of the organization and its environment.
The Msc Facility Management is offered by distance learning. Each module starts with an introduction lecture, followed by a series of key-note lectures via the digital Wimba portal of the LJMU (Liverpool John Moores University). These are interspersed with live seminars in the digital classroom, where individual assignments are executed and discussed. Once every three weeks, there is a meeting in Doorn where the progress is discussed. The spoken language during the MSc Facility Management is English.
The costs for the MSc Facility Management are €2,400 per module for the first three modules, and €2,800 for the dissertation (all free of VAT) including accommodation costs for Doorn / Liverpool.
