This congress is an exclusive opening conference with international speakers. This year, the conference is fully brought in English, and will take place at a unique location at the ASR in Utrecht on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 9:30am to 5pm.
We leave an era of simple cost reduction behind us and focus on what good Facility Management brings. The notion of Added Value becomes central and much needed. But is this completed from the view of the customer or the provider? Is it Value Added (Kano) or Added Value (Porter)? At the opening conference of this years’ Ifmec research focused on “Value Added Value” this subject will be analysed and discussed from different angles.
The opening conference is an interactive conference which focuses on sharing knowledge related to the research year of Ifmec Research & Innovation. This years’ research topic is “Value Added Value”. Participants have the opportunity to exchange ideas during the presentations and discussions. Also, the conference provides the opportunity to network in a relaxed and innovative environment.
The aim of the research is to reduce the gap between science and practice. This gap is analysed from different angles concerning our research topic; from science, government, academics and by practitioners. Participating guest speakers are Gerard Beelen, Europol, Erik Ubels, OVG Real Estate, Sascha Muckenhaupt, International Developer Sodexo, Leo Laanen (CEO Ifmec) and others.
The outcomes of the conference are collected and studied by specialists and managers in the branch of Facility Management with the ultimate aim to make a significant contribution to the development of the expertise area Facility Management and to publish them.
The research year continues in three masterclasses:
June 15, Masterclass health care sector
July 6, Masterclass business
September 7, Masterclass government
The final conference is scheduled for November 16, 2017
